Come out to Rollins College Wellness Center for free HIV and Hep C testing on Feb. 13th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM!
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), or sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) as they are sometimes referred to, are incredibly common. There are over one million new infections each day worldwide according to the WHO. STIs are also highly preventable when the right precautions are taken.
At Harmony Healthcare Orlando, we aim to empower our patients with the education and tools they need to care for their sexual and reproductive health. This means making testing and treatment for STIs accessible to everyone, regardless of lifestyle, insurance status or ability to pay.
Knowing your status is an important first step in treating an STI and preventing further infections. Initial testing can sometimes be an emotionally charged experience with many ups and downs, which is why our local clinic provides a welcoming and personalized setting for the care you need. Our patients are more than just a number, they are truly part of our community.
When you come to our office, you can expect the following testing and treatment options:
These tests and treatments are administered in a safe and respectful environment. If you have been hesitant to seek care after experiencing discrimination or judgement in the past, you will see and feel the difference with Harmony Healthcare Orlando. That is what makes us stand out as an Orlando STI clinic.
We provide PrEP and PEP as preventative measures against HIV infection. PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, is a daily oral medication that is taken to prevent HIV. When taken regularly, it is extremely effective in preventing HIV from sex and/or drug use. PEP, or post-exposure prophylaxis, are antiretroviral medications taken within 72 hours after possible HIV exposure. As an Orlando STI clinic, we offer these services to our patients at no charge.
Health care is more than just scheduling and attending medical appointments, it is a process that should touch every aspect of your life. This is why we provide things like transportation services to eligible patients, assisting them in traveling to and from appointments, to help increase the accessibility of the care they need.
We also work with a variety of social service agencies, and our case managers can connect you with the right one based on your specific needs. Some of the agencies we partner with provide services like rent and housing assistance, mental health counseling, utilities assistance, food assistance, and more.
Consistent and correct use of condoms has been proven to dramatically decrease the transmission of STIs. As your Orlando STI clinic, we provide condoms and personal lubricants at no charge to anyone, whether or not they are a current patient. We have a variety of options including:
We offer different shapes and sizes, and discrete packaging options. If you would like educational materials and guidance on proper condom usage, we can provide that too.
Do not let past experiences, concern about your status, or your financial situation create barriers to your health care. Contact us today. We are here to help.
Our offices will be closed on Monday, May 29th in observance of Memorial Day.
